Snow Abby

IMG_0489Because in the middle of getting ready for Houston, I really needed to stay up til’2 a.m. making Abby’s Halloween costume? Yes, I did. If you had seen her face this morning when she woke up and it was hanging in her room, you would have too. The boys are next- somehow making ObiWan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker costumes just isn’t going to be as much fun…

This was such an easy, fun pattern- and it went together beautifully. The collar detaches and it also has a red and blue satin cape- which I made, but she opted out of for this picture, and which Beanie is currently wearing. I suspect that may be the continuing trend. (JoAnn has all their satin at 40% off right now!)

  1. Allie has the same one that my cousin Debbie made for her. It is a must wear during dress-up time. The collar becomes a slight annoyance when they constantly want to wear it and you have to attach it, but they just look so cute afterwards it is worth it!

  2. What a beautiful princess she is! Beautiful job on the costume. When I first saw the picture I totally thought you’d bought it, then I thought, uh-uh, it’s way too nice to have been purchased from a store, then I thought, of course she made it! This is Tracy! She can do anything!

  3. You are astounding! What a cutie. She’s going to be the cutest trunk-or-treater out there.

Happy Houston. I’m proud to kinda sorta know someone talented enough to be there.

  4. So, I’m a quilter. I can make quilts, and baby blankets. I cross stitch and crochet. But I cannot, for the life of me, make anything that anyone would ever be able to wear. I tried it once, and my mother had to remake the entire dress so that my daughter could actually wear it. So I’ve moved past clothing. I just don’t think I have it in me. The point is, I sure do have respect for people that can… that do have it in them. I think you have an unnaturally large portion of ability in this particular category. 🙂
