Everyone slept well, and woke up on the right side of the bed. We did our chores, and had a clean house all before it was time to leave for swim lessons.
Everyone was very brave in their classes. Abby dunked herself all the way under, Jeff retrieved a toy from the bottom of the pool for the first time, and Bean got his face wet. A successful first day this year.
Our swim-center is terrific- but only I know where all three of my kids are in this photo.
When we got home, our awesome HT and his his son had been over and graded the yard, got the new sprinklers working, prepped for seeding, and set the posts for the fence to go up. The swingset re-assembly is next! Huzzah!
In the mailbox was a package from a friend in Japan, with really, insanely cool origami papers. Thank you Sadie! Also, the box from Amazon Jeffrey had been waiting on containing his new Wii game he payed for himself. I haven’t seen him since, and there is no photographic proof he exists at this point.
And I just popped this in the oven- gluten-free flatbred with carmelized onions and Rao’s Fra Diavolo tomato sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella. You should smell my kitchen. *drool* So yeah, it’s been a good day. Hope yours is too.
My day was great, too. The Love Magnet had Special Olympics clinic for track, Secondborn and Thirdborn volunteered for the basketball clinic. Came home to the pantry fixed and lawn aerated. But my house doesn’t smell of amazing pizza with caramelized onions and fresh mozarella. Knew I forgot something today. 🙂
Smile.
This post made me smile. You deserve lots of good days.
What a great day!
Mine was good, too. Something that I can’t talk about yet (but good), work for me, stake Super Saturday youth activity for Ray and my two oldest girls, my two youngest girls watched each other and were able to be civil (miracle!), and it is ending with me catching a few minutes on the computer while I listen to my older girls and their friends giggle. Yeah, getting ready for church tomorrow morning will be interesting, but this is not a bad way to end my day!
Love the good days. And wishing I had smello-vision.
Good, you ought to have some of those. Tender mercies.
I am SO happy swimming went well. After our experience I was cringing at how frazzled you might be after this. So happy to know that it went smoothly. And I totally forgot to ask last night because I was so torqued off and I’m sorry. Forgive me for being a thoughtless friend?
Thank goodness for good days…hoping tomorrow is for us, considering we just FLEW 24+ hours and mixed up so many time zones. Yeah, hope is real! But so glad you had a good day! You deserve many…
So what’s the flatbread? Homemade, or purchased? I’m always looking for new breads/crusts.
Oh, and I’m glad it was a good day. You deserve more of those.
Vada, it was brown rice flatbread from our health-food market. And it was good- more chewy than gummy, like GF can sometimes be. I’d buy again.
Do you know what brand it was?
wow, I made it onto your blog! what an honour! Hope your kids have fun with the origami paper ^_^
and that pizza looks SOOOO good!
I’m so glad that you described the toppings on your pizza. I was totally grossed out thinking that they were marshmallows on top! hahahaha.
