Trust in God and believe in good things to come…they will come!
Love you, K
I believe. I really, really do.
That doesn’t stop me from wondering, “But HOW did he get across the country? Did someone give them a new car? Did they take the bus? Did they buy a car with no down payment?” Obviously, it all worked out. One way or another it always does. My fears are always in the details. Like my prayer, “Heavenly Father, this is my problem. I know you will help me with it. I trust in you. But please, please give me the piece of mind that comes from knowing there is a plan. I can work through anything if I know what to do. Please give me the gift of knowing what to do. “
They did a great job dramatizing that story. It’s a message we all need to hear. Again and again.
I have watched this three times now and I cry every time! My favorite part is “Some blessings come soon, some come late and some don’t come until Heaven, but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ they COME!” Love this message!
Being that you sometimes embrace your snarky side at times and that you do enjoy a good dry humor video and pairing that with the fact that just about everyone from your earlier years is not LDS so would have no clue who this person is, don’t you think you could have labeled this **WARNING: TEAR JERKER** for those of us who opened it blindly before heading out the door? You know I have an ugly cry 🙂
With that being said…that was simply beautiful!
Glad you liked it, B. 🙂 Totally made me bawl too.
Thanks for sharing this. I can’t begin to tell you how much I needed this today. I love Elder Holland.
Thanks for posting this today. I really needed to hear this message. In fact I watched the video 3 times at work and listened to the original talk. Thanks again!
My friend Lori is the “mother” in this little lesson. Even though I only originally watched to see her, I love the message! “some blessings don’t come until heaven”, Love It!
Tracy, I’m relatively sure you posted this because it is relevant to you and what you’re going through. And because you’re a nice person and probably thought it would be nice to share it with your “e-friends.” What you didn’t know was how very much I needed to hear this… not even for the beautiful message within, but just to hear a Prophet’s voice. To remember that I believe. From behind these tears, thank you, thank you, thank you.
The struggles I now go through make it so hard to see ahead. I never thought that I would be going through the pains and sorrows that I am now and all I have is the gospel to hope for good things to come. Even then it is hard to have faith in this. I am left not understanding so many things now when I thought I did understand it.
