Yes, that’s a turkey-baster he’s holding, and it’s what he said he wanted for his birthday. The joy is apparent on his glowing face. This kid breaks the cockles of my heart wide open, and gives new meaning to the full gamut of human emotion. He took that turkey baster to school with him, more pleased than if he’d gotten a new video game or a trip to Disneyland. Happy Birthday Bean. Mama loves you more than I can ever express.

Aw, that’s a wonderful picture of a happy boy! Happy Birthday, Bean.
(I wish kids would stay so easily pleased with gifts…)
Too funny. I have twenty month old twins and they fight over the turkey baster and their mim’s house. Who knew a turkey baster could bring so much joy! 🙂
He looks bigger I swear! Like he’s loosing his baby face or something. Still cute as can be, especially when holding up a turkey baster. Do you think this means he’ll become a OB/GYN fertility specialist? 😉
What a sweetheart! Happy Birthday Bean!
Happy Birthday Bean!!!
Love the picture, that is the happiest face ever!!
I saw a boy here in Bellevue at the store the other day who could pass for Bean’s twin — except he was a few years older. Exact same coloring and bright eyes. He kind of startled me because I was out with my new baby and he stopped right next to my cart (out of my peripheral vision) and said, “Ooh!” and looked at me with those bright, happy eyes. He was checking out the baby. 🙂
